They’re a girl band renowned for wearing thigh-skimming shorts or miniskirts all year round, but last night The Saturdays tried a different approach to fashion.
Una Healy, who is three months pregnant, led the way as she covered up in a floor-length sequinned black gown while attending the Roberto Cavalli store launch during London Fashion Week.
The 29-year-old, who dates rugby star Ben Foden, was joined by her girls Vanessa White, Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King and Frankie Sandford, who all wore stunning dresses.
Vanessa, 21, and Mollie, 24, both opted for leopard-print designs, which Cavalli is renowned for favouring in his fabrics.
Frankie, who arrived with her footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge, opted for a turquoise mermaid-inspired gown that featured a cut out waist.
The 22-year-old loves showing off her impressive midriff so it was no surprise she took the opportunity to show Cavalli how she can wear a dress.
And Rochelle, 22, arrived in snakeskin gown alongside her JLS boyfriend Marvin Humes.
But The Saturdays were by no means the only celebrity guests checking out the Italian fashion designer’s store.
Also joining the 70-year-old style icon to celebrate was American actress Rosario Dawson, who had previously been at Selfridges were Beyonce was launching her collection.
Tamara Beckwith also arrived at the venue, as did Ronnie Wood alongside Ana Araujo, model Noelle Reno and X Factor’s Cher Lloyd.
Lloyd appeared to have toned down her Swagger Jagger for the evening and went for an elegant look that combined a nude lace dress, black tights and a matching blazer.
Pixie Lott, who has been a regular on the London Fashion Week circuit this season, arrived with her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire at the Battersea Power Station.
While Lady Victoria Hervey grabbed the photographer’s attention by sporting a bright red cut away gown and Holly Valance stunned in black.
Cavalli was celebrating his new Sloane Street boutique, which is located just up the road from his old boutique.
His shop boasts both men’s and women’s wear, as well as accessories, eyewear and watches.
The Italian is loved by celebrities worldwide and is often worn by Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum.
He told In Style this month: ‘I have always loved London and I have always found Sloane Street to be the perfect showcase for my collections.
‘I decided to open a bigger boutique as I see London as a glam, cool market, and the demand for my fashion is constantly growing.’
